Ya know...  I think this little line from this chapter (verse 5) which, I believe could apply to anyone, anywhere, and would be a great little line to post on your wall, and look at every day.

"And now there was nothing in all the land to hinder the people from prospering continually, except they should fall into transgression"

The Lord wants us all to be happy, and the Lord wants us all to return to Him.  I also believe the Lord wants us all to prosper.  I also believe that the only thing that keeps us from prospering is transgression (and possibly laziness, but it's debatable whether that falls into "transgression" or not)

Interesting that when people pull together in every way to defeat a common enemy, that there is peace and "order" in the land for years after.

Well..  for 4 years, to be exact.  Then the whole nation pretty much went down the toilet hole, to be exact.  It's unbelievable to me, that in the space of 4 years, people could go from erradicating completely the gadianton robbers, to forming the same devilish covenants which caused their formation in the first place.  FOUR YEARS.  I just don't understand how that is possible.   ...and I thought I forgot stuff quickly.  ouch.
