I know I'm
WAY out of the loop on this one, but I thought I'd blog about it to possibly help others who didn't know about this quite wonderful program.
For years I've been using amd64 processors and have loved them. Ever since there has been a 32-bit firefox on gentoo, I've been using it to view all the
youtube goodness out there.
However, there is a problem with that, because mplayerplug-in has as 64-bit native version which will only play in the 64-bit compiled version of firefox. So... in some cases, I have to use 64-bit, and others, 32-bit. It didn't happen often enough for me to get overly irritated, so... I continued on.
Well.. Yesterday a good
friend of mine told me about nspluginwrapper. It's a fantastic program which allows the 32-bit flash plugin to work in the 64-bit firefox. So far, the unstable version (0.9.91.5) seems to be working quite good.
So, anyway... It's easy to use, and so far it's working great. If you haven't tried it, with my very limited experience with it, I'd have to say - so far, so good!
