Moroni : 7 - Part 2
Today is a good day! So... Beginning in verse 12, the main theme I'm getting here is the complete polarization between God and Satan. Within the rules God has set (such as, "Satan can't kill people", and "Man has free agency", and "God won't save someone just because they're His offspring", and such...), God will do everything within his power to bring his sons and daughters back home. On the other hand, and in a very real sense, Satan will do everything within his power to drag as many people down to hell as he possibly can - on all accounts. There is nobody too righteous, too small, too innocent, or too far-gone for him to consider a ripe candidate for eternal damnation. His hatred is never-ending, and burns with such a fervor, that if it were possible, he'd tempt an innocent child to do heinous things. Nobody is immune (except the 3 Nephites and the like). For me, it's good to keep this in mind. I've gotta be continually watchful unto prayer, so the Lord can keep me safe.
Then there's the light of Christ, which I interpret to be the conscience. Everyone has one, until they dull it enough that it goes away.
Interesting to note that Mormon says that it's as easy to discern between good and evil as much as it's as easy to discern between light and darkness of night and day. That's pretty easy.
Wow... I just finished the chapter, and honestly, I could write pages and pages about it all. There is so much doctrine, insight, and power found in this chapter, I'm surprised. I mean, this chapter has always been amazing to me, but I just didn't realize everything contained therein until I read it just now. I don't have the time to write about it, but man - this chapter is amazing.
