What a horrible end to this story. Poor Coriantumr. Saw his situation with vivid clarity after it was too late, and rather than give up his life, he watched (which what must have been a horror show) everything Ether had told him come to life: The complete destruction of his people, leaving him alone. I can't imagine the horrible situation he found himself in.
Knowing that he could have changed the course of history for his people, realizing that everything the prophet had told him was coming true, and that it was too late to do anything about it, but fight and watch an entire nation fall through war and bloodshed.
Truly horrific. ...and a good reminder to heed the prophet's counsel, as soon as it's given.
