NEW: Golden Age Pre-73!
We've been contemplating how to best improve the studio with all the business we've been getting lately, and the votes are in!
Please welcome our newest addition to the studio, a nice shiny new red GOLDEN AGE PRE 73 PRE-AMP! We spent a good deal of time looking into the best preamps for the money, and it came down to two main contenders.
Coming in place as the runner up was the Presonus Studio Channel. This preamp got rave reviews, and had all sorts features and globs of pretty knobs to turn, but in the end, when doing further research, we've just gotta say that knobs and features don't win over the pure, pristine sound which eminates from the Golden Age Pre 73.
The Pre-73 has a sound that's soft as silk, and adds just as much color as you want or need. The beauty with which we can capture female vocals through the MXL V77 alone is amazing, but filtered through the Pre-73, and the vocal presence and beauty are truly something to behold. We'll have recordings up soon of this awesome piece of technology.
