3 Nephi : 3
Okay...  So the past few chapters, I've been ragging on how wishy-washy the average human soul must be in order for signs of the Messiah's birth to be taken so lightly...

Well... This chapter leads me to believe that there were still quite a few believers who held true through all of the dissenting.

The part I liked most about this chapter is the people electing righteous men to political offices, and that being the tradition among the Nephites (when they were righteous).

I can't help but marvel at the many, many ways a country could be improved while being governed by a righteous man, and not only that, but a man who oft times had a prophetic connection between his calling as a governer, and his relationship with God.  I love that thought.

If only we had such a blessing in these times.  Heh... Kind of makes me think of the beginning verses of Alma:29.
