Amazing... It's almost unbelievable that in the space of less than 13 years, a whole nation can go from being wicked, to almost dying of hunger, to becoming incredibly righteous and prosperous, and then coming back to being so wicked that the combined armies of the Nephites and Lamanites can't defeat the wicked part of the people.
I've been alive 35 years, and haven't seen any type of waffling even close to the extent covered in this one chapter. It seems to me that now-a-days, the general wickedness of the people is a much more slow-moving mass than back in the few centuries before Christ came. I just can't believe how fast the polar opposites were reached (and then back again)
I guess this chapter would be a great reason to write the
next one.
