I've gotta ask. Well, before I do, let me preface the question with the scripture found in
1st Nephi 19. Nephi says he won't write anything unless he thinks it's sacred. Assuming that the prophets after Mosiah thought the same thing, I've gotta ask. Why are verses 1 through 19 even here? I know the Book of Mormon is true, and that each page is precious, but I'm still waiting for a reason to manifest itself as to why we need to know the difference between a Nephite onti and a senine. No idea.
Okay... After reading verse 22 I now know why. We needed to know the value of the gold placed before Amulek set to persuade him to state his disbelieve in Christ. Amazing what we find out when we read
a couple of verses beyond that which we don't understand.
In verses 40 on, I find it interesting that Amulek should go on to the details of the resurrection to a group of lawyers and people bent on disproving him. I guess that a person at a spiritual level such as Amulek could command the spirit with such deep doctrine. Every time I try to talk about the deep stuff, I just end up getting wrapped up in details and the spirit level decreases. Seems like Amulek has no problem commanding the spirit by the deep doctrines (duh)...
Verse 46 is classic. Don't mess with a prophet.
