Samuel is Here!
I'm still kind of in awe of it all, but .... holy cow.. Samuel Jason Jones has arrived!
We got into the car around 4:30pm after Sarah had been in labor since around 6:00am. Wow... What a trooper.
We arrived here at the hospital at 5:00pm anticipating his arrival around 10:00pm or so... Yeah right... Samuel had other plans.
He was born at 6:43pm today, October 5th, 2008. He was 8 lbs, 7oz - 19 inches long. Amazing...
As usual, Sarah refused all drugs, no epidural, and went through the labor like a friggin' warrior. Yup... She's my girl.
Anyway... I'll spare you the blabbering, and as soon as I get the pictures (which should be just a few hours, I forgot the cable for my camera to download the pictures!) I'll post them. I also got a video or two, so... Look for those, too.
Anyway... I can't say enough about how wonderful my amazing wife is.
While holding Samuel at about 10 minutes old, I was just amazed at the little turkey, and the connection I felt. I actually teared up a bit at what I felt.
I'm not sure what that all means, but man... I sure do love this little guy.
Anyway... Look for pictures in the near future.
Update: Due to Chloe's fore-thought, she brought a camera with a cable, so I now have pictures! Here ya go!

Welcome to our family, Samuel!

Congratulations you two. Even though Samuel is bruised he is still darling and we wish you two the best. What a darling family. We think grandma's and grandpa's must be very proud and deservedly so. Love the Lawrences.

Congratulations!!! He's a cutie! I've been doing my OB rotation and worked several OB shifts while precepting...There is a special spirit in the room when a baby enters the world...each and every baby!
