Earlier this evening, it was absolutely beautfiul outside, and for some reason, I wasn't drained of energy from the daily grind, so I decided to take my wife and my kids out to the park nearby.
While I was pushing Collin and Luci on the swings, I realized how wonderful playing with kids can be. Of course, this wasn't the first time I realized this, but it was the first time a phrase came to mind while doing so. The phrase is this:
"May you find joy..." Now, I haven't done a whole lot of research on the subject, but it seems to me that this is an essential phrase in some covenants I have made in my life.
I wonder why it's
find joy, and not receive joy, or have joy, or something else.
To
find something, you need to look for it. Maybe it's hidden, or lost, or something else, but in order to find something, it's got to be there in the first place.
I don't know... I just found it highly interesting that joy is phrased that way. "
May you find joy..." I guess joy can be found in pretty much anything we do. We've just got to be looking for it in the first place. Hard or easy, I'm pretty sure joy can be found anywhere.
Just a little nugget of thought I had while playing with my kids.
