Miss Universe
Okay, I was watching the latest Miss Universe the other day and it was kind of like watching a train wreck. You don't want to look, but you can't bring yourself to turn away. The interesting part about it was the question and answer portion which is supposed to be the most important part of the competition (yeah right!). They had 30 seconds to answer the question. It would go something like this:
Question: What is the biggest hardship you had to overcome in your life?
Answer: Well, first of all, Hello Vietnam!! giggle giggle (the pageant took place in Vietnam). Well, I want to thank my parents for all they did for me. Without them I wouldn't be here. I like kittens and world peace. giggle giggle. My life was perfect, no problems giggle giggle. Oh shoot, times up.
Wow, you answered pretty much none of the question. It was so lame. These was only one girl that had an intelligent answer and she came in #4 or #5. It was really fun to watch and make fun of. The pageant culture is very interesting.
