When I'm not listening to music, I love listening to a few AM talk radio programs. Well, about six months ago, one of my favorite radio stations, KNRS 570 AM radio, changed their streaming program that let people use the Internet to hear their content.
This change effectively shut-out all Linux users. I chatted with 4 other Linux users about it, and they told me they were experiencing the same inability to receive any content.
So, I decided to email KNRS, and much to my surprise, their webmaster got back with me and worked with me through 5 emails back and forth to get something streaming.
After asking me questions which assured I knew what I was doing, they simply gave me the URL to the old streaming player which uses allows the client to use the mplayerplug-in to stream it.
The URL worked like a charm, and now I can sit back and listen to Glenn Beck, Bob Lonsberry, and Rush on my gentoo Linux box at work.
Thanks KNRS! Even though you upgraded to a technology which shuns Linux, you kept the URL which allows us to still participate!

Hope that helps anyone in the same predicament as I was.
