Mosiah : 1
Verse 7 caught my attention this time around. The beginning of the verse is as follows:
"And now, my sons, I would that ye should remember to search them diligently, that ye may profit thereby;"
The context is referring to the scriptures the sons of King Benjamin had access to. This verse reminds me quite a bit of Mosiah 4:10, when King Benjamin, after talking of belief in God, repentance, and humility again declares,
"and now, if you believe all these things see that ye do them."
I love it when scripture basically says, "this stuff isn't gonna do you any good unless you put it in practice, so put it in practice!"
Anyway...
One more thing which caught my attention is the whole "giving this people a new name" thing. There are so many references to sacred ordinances in that phrase, it's not even funny. I'll have to think that one over a bit more when I have a moment.
