Way to go, Sony.
I just got done reading an excerpt on Sony's new "open", "non-DRM" solution to downloading their music legally.

As I understand it, you have to go to a store, buy some sort of card for $12.99 which has a magic code on it, get the code, go to a website, enter the code, and then you are able to download one of their whole 37 albums which now reside online in mp3 format.

Geeze, Sony, that sounds like a great alternative to going online and pirating one of your millions of albums available online for the incredibly low price of, oh yeah, FREE.

I doubt Sony will ever get a clue.  Well...  At least in the online music e-commerce arena.  Unfortunately, it sounds like their blu-ray technology is doing quite well.  *sigh*
