Clam Chowder Heaven
I'm not entirely sure about the east coast or any other coast, but the clam chowder from the west coast at the Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey California is .... is.... well... it's clam chowder the way it was meant to be.
Today was a day full of driving in rush-hour-esque conditions, getting the hotel arranged at Monterey, CA.
As soon as it was arranged and everyone arrived (and I went to buy a black shirt for the famiy photograph) we all had one thing on our minds: Clam Chowder.
We went down to the wharf at around 9:00pm, and found that the best place for chowder was open until 9:30. We hurriedly placed our orders of clam chowder in bread-bowls and took our seats at the adjoining cafe which was already closed.
The first bite was that of sheer heaven. Holy COW, was it tasty.... And the best part was that it didn't ever get any worse than that.
Throughout the whole bowl, I was in heaven. About half-way I was full, but to throw any of that chowder away would surely be some sort of sin, so I just kept eating and enjoying it.
I finally finished it and I still felt good, even though I felt like bursting.
Anyway... We're all going to bed now, and I'm excited for the coming week. Good times, good times, good times.
Right now all I can think about is the next bowl of chowder. Hopefully it comes tomorow. :)
