Random Ramblings
Well...  All I can really say today is:

"Thank heavens for time."

The reason I say that, is because if it weren't for time, we'd never get over our sicknesses, and holy crud, I'm about done with this one.

Today was the first day Sarah really felt good enough to be home with the kids happy, and healthy for the most part, and if she's feeling good, I'm usually feeling good...  Although for some reason at work today I didn't feel too good.  I think it had something to do with me being fired up to get lots of work done and ending up only getting a bit done.

Right now, a lot of my job depends on other people due to my lack of general knowledge about the systems already in place.  Gah...  I hate that.  It's quite a demotivator when I can only work as hard as others will let me...  However, after saying that, I must say this:

That was a total cop-out.  I know of several things that I could have worked on full-steam, but I chose not to - it's just that those things aren't quite as exciting.

Ummm....  Another thing coming up in the Jones family's life is a trip to Monterey!  The trip I've been waiting for ever since the beginning of this year.  I can smell the salt in the air, taste that fresh clam chowder from the Wharf, see the amazing aquarium, and hear the ocean crashing upon the beaches of Carmel.  Not to mention the tide-pools and walks along the beach with various family members.

I wonder what Luci will think of the ocean this year...  Last time we went, she didn't like the sand at all.

As far as Collin goes, I'm sure we'll have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't bolt head-first into the crashing waves.  Man, he's interested in just about everything in life now.

One thing I'm not looking forward to, but don't think about often, is the inevitable family bickering between certain family members.  It's the same one all the time who just can't seem to get comfortable with life, and has to let everyone know it.  But ohwell...  Such is life.  We'll make the best of this trip, for sure.

I mean, heck...  We've all already been sick this summer, so we've already done that, we've had lots of kid-based drama, so we're done with that, and so life should be smoooooooth sailing, right?  Here's hoping. :)

Anyway....  I'm just about done with the ramblings of life for now.

Life is good again.  We're all on the up-and-up with this darned sickness, and our Monterey trip is just around the corner.

Woo hoo!
