Viruses, Parasites, Yuck.
Wow.... Ya know those news stories about that sickness being spread by people in swimming pools this summer? Well... I've got one thing to say about em':
BELIEVE THEM. THEY'RE TRUE.
I'm just getting over a sickness that pretty much was a worst case scenario of what they explain as a parasite called "cryptosporidium", which is being spread by poop in pools.
Ya know that family reunion we took about 2 weeks ago? Yeah... Except for 4-5 people, the entire family who went got sick. I think I got it the worst.
My symptoms began on Friday around 2:30, but weren't bad at all. We had a successful LAN party that night, and I was even able to have fun! Heck... I even ate one of my little bro's (Ryan) famous steaks (man, oh man, can that man handle a grill.... yuuuummmmy!) and had no problems.... Until....
Come Saturday morning, I knew something was up. By Saturday afternoon I was "out-of-commission". Holy cow.
Diarrhea coming an average of every 20 minutes, severe cramping, vomiting, sleepless nights, nausea caused by any foreign scent (even fresh hot buttered toast) and basically not being able to think about anything other than the pain.
Yeah... That lasted 3 full days. Didn't eat squat. Couldn't have, even if I had wanted to. The 4th and 5th days were better, but still shaky. Today I'm back to about 95% of my full health. I've got crazy heartburn, but I expect that to go away soon, too.
So... That's why I haven't been blogging lately.
Oh, oh!! I almost forgot! Ya wanna know what's better? My wife got it 2 days after I did. She is still recovering. My daughter got a very light case and is doing okay. Heh... We called my mom to come down and watch the kids for us only to find out she was sick, too. Holy cow.... Yeah.. This was pretty much the 2nd worst illness I've ever had in my life, that I can remember. NOT FUN.
Anyway.... On a lighter note, it is good to see Google grabbing the appropriate html titles and descrpitions, finally! Seems that people really quite like my VLC DVD RIP article I wrote a couple weeks back.
I think I'm gonna implement comments here soon. See if anyone is itching to comment...
