Oh... My... G....T (as in Mustang GT)
Okay people.... Today at work was great, and everything.... But I've just gotta tell ya... Well.. before I get ahead of myself, let me rewind a bit...
The commute to my new job requires me to drive by a new Ford Dealership, and darnit.. They have a great selection of a certain car I'd really like to own someday. Well.... (yes.. the story gets worse)
About three days ago, I noticed this dark red 2006 Mustang GT parked right out where everyone on the freeway could easily gawk at it.... Well.. Coming home today, I had had enough. Something inside me snapped. I couldn't take it anymore!!!
So... What did I do?
No, I didn't buy it... But man alive, I was sooooo tempted. Let me just say....
H-O-L-Y !?#%@?
First, I couldn't believe how easy it was to get a test drive. The car is barely under $30,000.00 which is twice what my current car was when I bought it... Anyway... To make a long story short... I drove it....
Yes... I drove it... and it had a 1000 Watt stereo system in it... with two 10-inch subs in the trunk. Yes.. It sounded like heaven. Yes.. it just about made me drop a load in my shorts when I accellerated at even half of what it could deliver. ..... Yeah... chills.. the whole gammit... I couldn't believe I was in a Mustang GT... I didn't even dare put all 300 horses to the pavement. Shoot... It was ... amazing. Even though it was only about 10 minutes of driving, I'd have to say that so far, it was definitely one of the highlights of this year.
Anyway.... ... I could go on all night, but I've just got to limit this madness before my wife destroys my computer. I have no time anymore. Suffice it to say the following:
I've driven a 1996 Corvette Convertible.... and I've driven a 2006 Mustang GT. If I had a choice, I'd choose the mustang in a heartbeat. What a gorgeous piece of art. Heh... I thought I'd actually be able to buy it... Yeah... with the new job, I could probably afford it, too.....
Then I came home and told my wife. :)
