Ether 1
Not too much to write about on this one. I guess I could try to memorize all the relationships mentioned. hehe.
Genealogy must have been pretty important back then (pretty important now-a-days, too), because they mentioned that it would be possible for us to have the history of the entire world up to that time. Interesting...
Another thing which I noticed this time around, is the specificity with which prayers were made. "Go pray for us", "now go pray for our family and friends", "now go pray about what we're supposed to do", "now go pray about where we're supposed to go". That seems a lot different than "go pray that the Lord will help us", and be done with it.
I'm a believer in the power of prayer, but I also believe that when the lord says "Ask and ye shall receive", he meant it. The more specific our prayers, the more specific the answers.
Good stuff.
My new goal is to finish writing about each and every chapter in the Book of Mormon by the end of this year. Totally within reach.
