Man... I'm so tired right now, but I've just gotta write about this.
Tonight was the first show Jesse and I put on in the little "House Concert" tour we're going on.
It was very low-key, but when the time came to play, the people just kept pouring in. At the end of the show was the only time I had the sense to count how many people were there, and counting the people upstairs, there were 42 people.
It's like a dream come true, really. I have no aspirations of ever being a touring musician, a rockstar, or anything of that sort, but being able to perform for a group of people who respond as the audience did tonight almost made me shed tears of joy, but I'm kinda weird like that.
I was so humbled, and so delighted at both the performance, and the response received from each song. It really was an experience I'll not soon forget.
Also, my wife and our kids, and my parents were in the crowd. Thanks, guys!
Anyway... I just wanted to let everyone know that Herod the Fink's first show of the year (and ever) was a resounding success. We sold a bunch of CDs, too, which humbles me even more.
It's..... ...like a dream come true.
