This chapter was interesting. The first thing I noticed is that Samuel had some serious insight as to things of God. He prophesied of the destruction of the entire Nephite nation in the last chapter, and in this chapter, he details quite specifically, events which were to occur at both the birth and the death of Christ. Interesting we know virtually nothing of this man, other than this sermon.
Interesting also, of his description of the land before and after the death of Christ. The land being described as more or less than "one solid mass" before His death, and as "fragments" after.
