2011 5.0 Mustang GT
Although I probably will never own one of these, it's just awesome that the pony cars are gettin' revved up again.  Ford is definitely gonna bring up the competition with this beast.  Bye-bye imports!

What would happen if conditions vere not perfect? The mustang would be even further behind...

But the mustang do look great :)

Yeah...  On the daily motion one, I call BS.  There is no way an STI could compete with those other three cars.  100% rigged.  As far as the other youtube link, you're absolutely right about the GT500 losing.  The GT-R is a beast.  Unfortunately, I'm talking about the Mustang GT, which is in an entirely different class.

Calling BS on Best Motoring is perhaps not the smartest move ever... You can watch a lot of races that BM has had between Imprezas, Evos and r34-gtr. There are also some with euro cars.

It's a special version of the Impreza ( lighter, more power), so a regular sti would have had a harder time for sure. The z06 and Impreza wheigh about the same, but the other two are a lot heavier...

 

Ain't the gt500 more powerfull than the gt? I'd guess it would be even further behind.

 

The gt-r is a massive 300kg heavier than the imprezza, and has only  ~100bhp which gives about equal power-to-wheight ratio, and 300kg is a lot when cornering...

Yeah...  I guess my reference to the Mustang GT is just saying that the GT-R and GT500 are way above it.  The GT500 being beat by a GT-R is a no-brainer.  Indeed, the GT would farther behind, but as far as the cars in the GT's class, the new 5.0L engine will give em' a run for their money.
