They're Here!
Well, yesterday the studio received a new addition. We're now employing a much more powerful and dynamic 8-channel Octopre preamp! This will allow us to record much more dynamic sources. The initial impression I get from this new device is that it, of course, is much, much more powerful. It also seems to record with a bit more clarity. The hot signals maintain their warmth, whereas my old preamp got steadily more harsh as the signal got hotter.
So, good things are happening! Next on the lineup are a pair of AT4041's to replace my current Audix condenser overheads.

i suppose you could build a rack, might not look as good but it'd be much cheaper and might even be sturdier, depending on what you use
