Confrontation and contention has always been an interesting thing for me. For one, I hate it and I don't know how to deal with it. I'm a passionate person in every sense of the word. The moment I feel like I'm being attacked, it's everything I have to do to keep my head level and my blood from boiling. Unfortunately, this keeps me from diffusing attacks, and usually making things worse. My logic and reasoning runs away, and I'm left having accomplished very little.
The reason I brought this up is because Aaron and Muloki had to deal with that stuff, most likely, for years on a daily, if not hourly, basis. The guy in the sinagogue who stood up and started out with, "Yo, why do angels appear for you and not for us! Are you that much better than we are?" Seems like all they wanted was a fight.
Yet, they persisted, and eventually, as a team, they brought many, many souls to Christ. So, I guess the moral to this story is - keep at it, even if all you get is venom and hatred. Missionary work is backed by the one person in this universe who cannot, and will not be trumped by anything. Given time, missionary work is the one thing which can do nothing but good.
