Gen. Conf. - One in the Crowd - Nuen...
This talk was wonderful! It brought many memories of my adolescence to mind, along with quite a few ponderous questions which I had never before contemplated.
I'm not sure if it's my current mood, or the Spirit or what, but this talk was wonderful.
It brought back memories of my own childhood, when I made decisions which would bring on many snickers and whisperings from people who I thought to be my friends. It made me think of many of the decisions I'm making right now, and how I, if these decisions where changed, could be that much more of a man.
It made me ponder about the childhood of my parents, and what some of the decisions they made to be "one in the crowd", or if they did at all.
I love the parable of the woman who touched the hem of Christ's robe. There are so many angles from which we can derive truth and understanding from this story.
It causes me to wonder how many times I have neglected to go to the Savior for the healing power he provides, but instead have thought I could do it on my own. It causes me to reflect on our individual reasons for believing in Jesus Christ, and how our faith is crucial in his power to heal us.
It causes me to wonder how many times I've waited until I have exhausted all other alternatives before turning to the Savior, and how much time was wasted by doing so.
Yup... Pretty good talk given, right there.
Thank you, Elder Neuenschwander.
