My Birthday 2008
Well... I put this in the "Current Events" category primarily because it's really late, and I'm kinda caffeinated.  Other than that, life is pretty normal.

Let's see here...  My birthday.  I don't usually write about my birthday, but I don't know why I don't.  I really should.  Maybe it's because my birthdays really are quite uneventful.  This year was a bit different...

It started yesterday, when my dear parents brought over a very neat present.  It was a binder full of basically, my life history.  It had pictures, report cards, letters, poems, thoughts, etc...  from my birth up to the day I was married.  What a treat.  I'll definitely be putting that in the "let's try to keep this for as long as humanly possible" pile.  Not sure how long that'll be with kids, but I'll do my darndest.

Then today, I woke up and was pretty tired, but went to my required 4 hours of work (Nature's Way gives birthdays a half-day off - pretty cool, eh'?), 1.5 of which was spent talking about cars in my boss's office.  Good times.  As far as work goes, the website is up now (I'll be blogging extensively about that tomorrow), and life is just peachy.

During lunch, Scott pinged me online and asked if he could take me to lunch.  I told him I would be honored...    We went and had a wonderful mussaman curry Thai dish (totally scrumptious!!  Thanks Scott!) at Thai Chili Gardens.  Love that place.

Then, when work was done, I came home and Luci was super excited about a present she had to give me.  I smile just thinking about it.

She grabbed me by the hand as soon as I came through the door, and led me to the hiding place for the present.  She then put both arms and hands out fully extended, grinning from ear to ear, with the present in-hand ready for the taking.  hehe...   I love her.

Anyway...  I went and opened it, and it was the Looney Tunes Volume 2 (I love volume one)!!  We hugged and I thanked Sarah / Luci for the gift and then proceeded to filly fart around the house.  I watched some Looney Tunes, and then instead of taking a nap, I decided to go buy a caffeinated beverage at the local convenience store.

During which drive, I managed to drive along side a black Dodge Viper SRT-10.  He told me it had 700 horse power.  I believed him.  Then I went home and by then it was about 6:30.

It was this time I decided to take my wonderful wife to the Tepanyaki Japanese Steakhouse in Provo. It was wonderful!  We sat across from two geeky-looking guys who thought they knew something about Linux.  They didn't.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner together, after which we cruised around the streets of Orem / Provo looking for a race.  We found a guy driving a Dodge Charger R/T and got him to race a bit, but never got a good start from a dig.  Sarah said it was cool seeing this side of me.  It was fun having her with me!

Anyway...  I then went home, put the kids to bed, and got a call from Steve Dibb and ended up cruising around with him until about 20 minutes ago.

Good times!  This birthday was definitely worth having!  and yup...

I'M NOW 33 YEARS OLD!

YEEEEEE HAW!
