Day 2 - Colorado Trip
Wow...  It really is amazing what a good night's sleep can do to one's attitude.  I don't know if everyone is affected this way, but man...  Yesterday, it was all I could do to keep myself from just walking away from everyone and going to sleep.  I was irritable, quick to frustration, and a general jerk to pretty much everyone.

Today, I actually had fun!

I woke up at 9:30 to a wonderful breakfast of eggs, bacon, and Sarah's magnificent banana pancakes.

We then brought out Brandon's new Nintendo Wii, and I played it for the first time.  Freak, that thing is amazing.  It really is.  Both Sarah and I were very impressed.  We played that for a couple of hours, and then went on the day trip.

We went to a ranch where one of Annie's sisters has a horse.  The horse's name is Gunner, and the owner's name is Kaley.  Hehe.... It was pretty fun.

Some pics of the experience:

Now, as you can see, Collin is a regular jockey.  He was noddin' his head up and down like crazy when we asked him if he wanted to get on the horse.

It was around this time, that I was through trying to get Luci to leave the van.  She was still inside, scared to death of the horses.

Well, my wonderful brother-in-law, Craig Young went to get her out, and she came.  She then saw her daddy riding the horse in the corral-thingy.  I have no idea what the name of the place is, but it was a dirt area inside where the horses could be ridden:

Hehe... Now there's a sight you don't see everyday.  Some dude with socks 'n' sandals and a mohawk, riding a horse.  hehe...  It was fun.

So... Luci took a look at that, and she thought she'd give it a try.

I'll be darned if she didn't hop up on that horse with Craig (I was very unsure of my abilities as any type of a horse-person to take Luci myself), and she rode around.  She loved it.

and that was that!  Lots of horses.

We then went and had fun playing pool, talking, and eating some great lasagna and chocolate cake at Annie's parent's house.

We came home around 9:00, and put the kids to bed.

I was sad to miss conference, and I'm not sure at all what I'll be doing tomorrow, but family is worth it.

We set our mythTV system to record all 4 sessions, so.. We'll watch it when we get home.

That's all for tonight, except for a few more pictures of the day.

The top one is Jovie, Emma, and Luci.

The middle one is Brandon and Jovie.

The last one is me walking Collin on Gunner with Kiley, Craig, and Emma.

Good times.
