1st Nephi : 20
I've often wondered why Nephi included the portions of scripture containing the writings of Isaiah.

I remember one time during my mission when I was reading the stuff in 2nd Nephi and it actually made sense, but I didn't write any of it down, so.... it still makes no sense to me.

Only one verse out of this chapter gave me any inspiration at all, but it's a good one.

Verse 10:  "For, behold, I have refined thee, I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction."

That says volumes to me.  That explains why so many prophets had to endure so many trials, and why we need to endure them as well.

Other than that verse, the rest of the chapter was difficult to understand.
