Okay... I'm getting like
crazy frustrated here...
You know all those wonderful firefox extensions which allow web developers like me to work even faster and more efficiently? Well... They must all hate me.
I've heard incredible things about Firebug and Y-Slow as far as web development tools go, but can I use them?
Apparently not.
Why? I have no idea. Maybe it's because I run gentoo, or... have some switch in my kernel turned off which allows certain extensions to get completely foobed or whatever.
All I know is that I can't run em'.
I know they're installed, too. All the obvious things come up like menu options and panel icons...
But when I click on em' (right or left),
absolutely nothing happens whatsoever.
and it's driving. me. CRAZY!!!!!!!
Can anyone help me? Please? I'd really like to use these tools, but evidently, something on my system won't let me.
I've tried every form of troubleshooting I know of, too. I've installed Firebug on 5 different systems, all with gentoo on em', and I get the same exact result each time.
What am I doing wrong?
Luckily, I've been using the Web Developer tool for quite some time successfully, but Firebug and Y-Slow will simply not respond to any amount of right or left clicking. It seems the checkboxes do receive their respective checks, but nothing happens functionally - at all.
Any help would be *greatly* appreciated.
