ILMJ Gets Comments!
Yes!  You can now comment on public blog entries at ILoveMyJournal.com!

I wrote the whole process from scratch, so some of the methods used to keep bots away might be new to you.  Here's the skinny:

First off, nothing is required except the comment and the human-test answer.  I'm not sure if this is gonna stick or not, but I couldn't think of any reason to require anything else.

Simply go to the entry on a blog upon which you wish to comment.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and you'll see the following:

Screenshot of comment box.

You'll see the normal stuff like Name and Email and Website for your information.

I decided to use the FCKeditor box for comments, so you can customize the look and feel of your comment.  You can even upload images in your comments.

The "Human Test" test portion of the comment box is to ... well..  see if you're a human or not.

If you are a human, simply answer the question provided after the "Human Test" text.

In this case, the question is "What is the opposite of white?"

There is only one correct answer to this question.  If you do not know the answer, simply refresh the page until you get a question for which you know the right answer.

All questions should be extremely easy to answer.

In this case, the answer is obviously "black", and if successfully entered, your comment will be accepted.

If you enter an incorrect answer, your comment will be completely ignored.

After entering all the information you wish, and answering the human test question, simply click on "Save Comment" and your comment will be saved.

That's it!  Happy commenting!

I love it!

I think it's pretty cool, too. :)
