Melodies of March
I apologize for the complete lack of posts in March.  I've been having so much fun recording, I forget to write about it.

If you'd like to stay more up-to-date with the studio happenings, I tend to post much more information on Advanced Budget Studio's Facebook page than on the blog.  It's just easier.

So, head on over to Facebook, like the studio page, and get updated more often!

That said, the studio has been busy with the likes of Between the Peace, Richard Poole, Navika Sharma, David Harris, PoeticIntensity, and Joe Mizzi.  Recording lots of goodness, for sure.  Our studio drummer has been involved in multiple projects, releasing several great tracks for clients, and generally speaking, the music has been flowing.

On the hardware side of things, we've decided to get rid of our Delta 1010 based set up, in favor of an Echo Audiofire 12.  It has better ADC's, and it's already apparent that the recordings have improved in clarity and spatiality.  We're also getting two of our Apex 205 ribbon mics modified by the great Michael Joly, and they'll be in use soon.  Expect the recordings to improve greatly, as these modified mics are amazing.

Anyway...  Such has been the state of affairs of Advanced Budget Studios, and things are definitely good.

Glad to hear it. I've got a new song that's about ready to see the light of a studio.
