Alma : 16
The main thing that stuck out in this chapter was obviously the destruction of Ammonihah.  As I've stated in a previous post, I find it so interesting that one of the judges of Ammonihah was the one who mentioned that "even if thou shalt declare this city shall be destroyed in one day, we shall not believe it."  It was as if the judge himself was a prophet, because as we see here, "every living soul of the Ammonihahites was destroyed".  The Lamanites did the deed in one day, as well, thus completing the prophesy of the judge, which he, himself, did not believe.

As I've said before, don't trifle with prophets of God.  It just isn't a good idea.

Also, I found verse 21 a bit interesting.  It says that the Nephites, at this time, gained a "victory" over Satan.  The victory was "the word of God being preached in its purity in all the land."

Ya know...  Me, in my little neighborhood here, I would venture to say that I'm living even though it may be just a portion of, that type of life.  I live in a neighborhood where, by and large, every family is a faithful member of the church of Christ.  We sure are blessed as a people here.
