Samuel's Baby Blessing
Well... Today was the big day at church with the blessing of the newest addition to the Jones family, Samuel Jones.

The blessing went well, even if I did botch the proclamation of the power by which the blessing was given.  I'm glad God is a forgiving God.

The spirit of the meeting was wonderful, and it testified quite powerfully of one specific thing, albeit a bit apart from the actual reason for celebration.  That thing is quite simple:

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of love.

Throughout the whole process of our having our third child, people were absolutely wonderful in their charity, and I mean charity in the literal sense.  People gave to us, as I believe Christ would have given to us.  They sacrificed with no hope or expecation of getting anything in return.

Our home was filled to capacity as friends and family gathered to celebrate after the blessing - and I was reminded of the beautiful truth of love once again.

Even with differences in lifestyle, belief, or otherwise, the only thing I felt today amist all the people was love.

Thanks to everyone who took time out to make this day a wonderful one for me and my family.  It certainly was appreciated.
