I feel very connected with this talk.  He speaks of the importance of remembering those special experiences we have with the Spirit which enrich our testimonies.  Some of the quotes I love from this talk are as follows:

Our personal journey through life provides us with many special experiences that become building blocks of faith and testimony. These experiences come to us in vastly different ways and at unpredictable times. They can be powerful spiritual events or small enlightening moments. Some experiences will come as serious challenges and heavy trials that test our ability to cope with them. No matter what the experience may be, each gives us a chance for personal growth, greater wisdom, and, in many cases, service to others with more empathy and love. As the Lord stated to the Prophet Joseph Smith in a reassuring way during one of his most significant trials at Liberty Jail, “All these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good”

I find it interesting that this talk should come in this way.  I personally have been saved from quite a few potentially disastrous decisions in my life due to my remembering the sweet experiences I have had with the Spirit.  Many of them from my mission, many of them from experiences with friends, and a few more which came in the form of intense trials.

One thing I can say about the whole "special experiences" topic is that in order to pull from a history of these experiences, you must first live them.

I can testify that as we step out of our comfort zones and prayerfully go and do, these special, sweet, personally spiritual experiences will come as fast as we can handle them.

And then as we go along in life doing the same, as trials come, I can also testify that such experiences may just be what will help you continue along the straight and narrow in the face of intense adversity.

I loved this talk.  It's good to hear someone put in words what has helped me personally, and has strengthened my own personal testimony.
