2nd Nephi : 20
To tell you the truth, I didn't get much out of the scriptures tonight.  There was a verse from which I thought I could derive meaning.

Verse 15.

The ax depends on him that wields it for its strength.  Alone, it is nothing but wood and metal.  Used by a person, it can become a powerful tool.  Same thing with a saw.

I took this as an allegory that we, as mortals, without God are truly nothing (Alma 26:12).  With him, however, we can do all things.

That's all for tonight...

Honestly, I'm getting to the point where I'll be very happy when Isaiah is only mentioned occasionally.  These whole chapters of Isaiah are getting a bit troublesome.  I'll keep writing, however, about each and every chapter I read - even if it's just "I didn't get jack from this chapter."

Thanks for reading.
