2nd Nephi : 11
Let Isaiah begin!

This chapter is a great pre-cursor to the chapters to follow.  Nephi explains why he like the words of Isaiah, as well as the fact that he likes to bring people to Christ.

Interesting in verse 3, Nephi says he'll send the words of Jacob to his children for the purpose of reinforcing his own words.  The reason being because they both had seen Christ (and with Isaiah, that makes 3)...  I can't imagine that his kids would be that untrusting, however, I also know that Nephi knows the Gospel, and therefore knows that God works by giving more than one testimony.  It would make sense to reinforce his children's testimonies by giving them the words of Jacob.

I thought that was interesting.

Also interesting in the use of the word "prove" in verses 4 and 6.  Usually the prophets use words lke "testify" and "exhort".  They don't use the word "prove" profusely.

That's all.
