Nature's Way
Holy moly. I'm not sure I can type everything I need to, but I'm gonna try.
I gave my two-weeks today at Truenorth Academy after talking with two people at Nature's Way to make certain the offer they are making me. I'm not exactly sure where this decision will lead me, but after praying and doing some analysis of our own, Sarah and I believe this is the right thing to do. We'll confirm this tomorrow with my boss.
When I gave my two weeks to Jim initially, I introduced the situation by saying that I had made up my mind, and I was giving my two-weeks' notice. He took that in stride. We talked, I explained, he accepted, we hugged, and that was that. I went about working to document everything for my replacement, which would surely come in the following weeks.
About an hour after that, I got a call to come back into his office. He had a different hat on this time, and I could tell. He was all marketing. He had talked to Mike (the CEO) and he had told Jim to call me back in and try to get me to stay. To tell you the truth, the more he talked, the more it seemed like he was trying to buy me, and it felt cheap.
So, I after lots of talking and trying to explain that I had made up my mind, I left his office promising him I'd come home and pray with my wife. Well, we just got done praying about 15 minutes ago, and we still feel that moving to Nature's Way is the right move for us. Hopefully Jim will take that answer this time.
So, anyway.. I still can't believe this is happening. I'm really tired, too, so... I'm gonna turn in for the night, and get ready for another wild ride tomorrow.
